Let's find out.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the ISA system and what are its tasks?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>ISA system<\/strong> (Intelligent Speed Assistance) is a state-of-the-art technological solution whose <strong>the task is to control the speed of the vehicle<\/strong> in real time and alerting the driver of <strong>exceeding the speed limit<\/strong>. The most important elements are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Camera mounted behind the rear-view mirror<\/strong>which is used to <strong>traffic sign recognition<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>GPS system<\/strong>which provides mapping data on <strong>speed limits<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Central controller<\/strong>which analyses data in real time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After <strong>starting the engine<\/strong>, as well as after <strong>opening of vehicle doors<\/strong>, the system calibrates and starts to analyse the environment. If the camera detects <strong>speed limit sign<\/strong> or the map data will indicate a different limit, <strong>ISA Intelligent Speed Assistant<\/strong> displays a warning on <strong>dashboard<\/strong> or <strong>home screen<\/strong>. In practice, this means:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">From 2022 <strong>newly homologated vehicles<\/strong> must be equipped with <strong>ISA system<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">From 2024 each <strong>new car<\/strong> sold at <strong>within the European Union<\/strong> must have <strong>intelligent speed assistant<\/strong>,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Vehicle manufacturers<\/strong> have to adapt their production lines and systems to the new requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ISA system versions - passive and active<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>ISA system<\/strong> can operate in two basic variants:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Passive intelligent speed assistant<\/strong> - informs the driver that he\/she is speeding. A message appears on the screen and <strong>driver's speed<\/strong> is compared with the limit resulting from the GPS data or <strong>road signs<\/strong>.
